The American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences
What is the Texas Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (TAFCS)?
TAFCS has a student section equivalent to FCSA. The mission is to affect the optimal well-being of families and individuals. TAFCS gives student the opportunity for professional development through conferences, networking, mentoring and even publication opportunities.
What is the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS)?
AAFCS is the National professional organization. The mission of AAFCS is to improve the quality of individual, family and community life through education, research, cooperative programs, and public information. As a member of AAFCS, some benefits include the Journal of Family & Consumer Science, a discount on the certification test, and the opportunity to grow as a professional.
How much are dues?
FCSA is only $10.00 for the year. If you don't get to join in the fall then you only pay $5.00 in the spring.
